This is an Autumn TBR for me, and I’m definitely looking forward to cosy, snuggle up with a book weather. My TBR is quite fluid because I’m a mood reader and new book lust is a thing. I'm a little proud that I have six books that I plan to read within a definite period of time. Six of them!
In Reality by Loralie Murrison: This book lured me in with the unique concept of a Kardashians type TV star trying to escape from the fakeness and fame in Community College, where she meets a special someone.
The Gay Teen's Guide to Defeating a Siren (Book 2) by Cody Wagner: A homosexuality ‘correction’ school that’s an undercover haven for gay teens and has Hogwarts vibes, plus gayness as an anti-siren superpower? How could I resist that?
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi: At freaking last somebody’s written a fantasy inspired by Africa!! I’m so excited for this book that I’m scared by it. What if it doesn’t live up to my expectations? One of my besties and I are going to buddy read this at the end of March.
What it means When a Man Falls from the Sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah: My goal for 2018 is to read more literary and classic fiction with a vague emphasis on women writers, African writers, and diverse authors in general. This book fits the bill quite nicely and I’m keen to get into it.
The Young Elites by Marie Lu: I’ve seen this series on bookstagram a couple of times but it wasn’t until somebody mentioned that the MC is basically a villain that I realised it might be something special. I'm a huge sucker for dark fantasy and anti-heroes.
