Hi everyone! This week's Teaser Tuesday comes from Power's Wrath by Stephen Shortall.
'Through the eyes one could see to the heart of a man, and in death one could see to the heart of nothing. It showed a man that there was nothing left, merely an empty vessel, a desolate pond.'
At the centre of a remote kingdom, one that has been attacked by a mythical enemy called the Bo'Rai, moves an aged adviser. His memories failing along with his body, he must force a march south to war, unsure of the reasons but confident in the need. With the king killed in the attack and a terrifying enemy waiting at the end of their journey south, it may instead be from within their own ranks that the real threat comes. This is a world that is protected and guided by the Prophecy, a being created in the beginning by the creator, aimed at combating the virus of the Bo’Rai. Few know that the Prophecy is fallible, prone to error and quickly running out of time, growing desperate as the end nears. Description taken from Goodreads |
